We spent the day at the Pavek Museum last week and learned about magnets and electricity!  We also learned about the radio and how the broadcasting business works.  There are more pictures to come.  I will also add the link to the live broadcasts once I figure out how to do it.  Sorry! International Festival

It is that time of year again!
The International Festival is coming up in April and we have to collect some items for raffle basket.
Our basket is titled "Sleepover!"
We are looking for simple items each family can donate to our basket.
Some items may include;
movies
popcorn
candy
games
crafts
pancake mix
books/magazines
music and more!
We need to get all of our items to school by April 20th.
We look forward to seeing what everyone can add to the collection.

The new spelling list is out!!!!
The test is planned for April 2, 2012
The vocabulary on the test are all words the kids will find in a testing situation so it is very important they work on the list and the definitions.  Thanks for your help with this.  Mrs. Brown

Math packets are also due on Monday the 2nd of April!  I gave the entire packet so the kids would have to plan out how to accomplish the work before Monday.  (Life skills)  thank you for supporting this effort.

Biographies are still being worked on at school unless your child was asked specifically to take it home and work on it.  More information to come later in the week.

Also... this week we will be practicing testing strategies for the upcoming MCA tests.  More details to follow.

We also have a biography book report due in April.  The kids are creating a newspaper about their person of interest.  Ask your son or daughter who they have picked.  We have started the writing and research project at school.  You will see some of this work in the coming weeks....

One final word....
It is Spring, but.... we may still need to wear coats!  Please check the weather forecast so your child is prepared for the day!  Thanks.

We have a field trip on April 5th to the Pavek Museum.  We are excited for this opportunity.  It is very important.  The permission slips are due March 29th. 

Fourth Grade at Brimhall School

 Welcome to a normal day in room 118!  We always start the day with some kind of morning work.  On this particular day we were playing math games. This is one way we sharpen our math skills.  It is also fun to start the day with a good friend.
